I have three comments!! Doesn’t seem like much, but I am proud! Thank you!!
So I haven’t blogged in a while, I know I’m letting all three of my readers down, but hopefully you’ll forgive me!!
So I had to replace our thermostat for the house the other day. I was kind of worried, because I hate electricity with passion. I couldn’t live without it, but it’s the one thing I hate. And me being the badass I am, I didn’t throw the breaker. I removed the old one and installed the new one, all without incident!! It’s not a fancy thermostat, next one will have a light.
My next post will be one near and dear to my heart, one of the greatest things about being a delivery driver!! I hope you all are having a great week! And thank you those who do read this, I appreciate it a lot!
As always, please check out my wife’s blog.
Well it’s officially February, and I couldn’t be prouder of my wife!! She participated in NaBloPoMo, and I got to read an amazing blog everyday!! I am very proud of her for doing it! Maybe I shall sign up one month, but I don’t know if I could. I don’t even write my blogs as often as I should. I would like to write about twice a week, but when I plan on writing I just get lazy. I’ve never been much of a writer, but my lovely wife, inspires me to do so! I didn’t use to tweet, but she started tweeting and I joined, I didn’t blog, she started a blog, and so did I. I hope she doesn’t mind me piggy backing on what she does, but hey she has a lot of great ideas!!
The pew pew was for lasers, I wish laser guns were real!
Tomorrow is a doctors appointment, I hope all goes well, and we find a handicapped parking spot!! We hate LSU-HSC, so if we can find a handicapped parking spot then we win!!
Many things coming up in the next two months, we have valentines day, MARDI GRAS, Wesley’s birthday, and more stuff and more stuff!!
I’m sleepy so I think I’ll be heading to bed to snuggle April!!
Didn’t proof read so punkin, will you let me know my errors when I wake up so I can fix them? Thank you baby!!!!
So we finally have a new car, yay!!!! It’s dumb luck that we found it, I literally opened the classifieds to a random page and said “here’s one we can look at” and that was it. We went and looked at it and test drove it and both agreed that we love it. The next day we bought it! So we have it one day and the check engine light came on, took it to advance auto parts and they tested it. The error came back “high fan speed.” After some research we found out that a fan clutch problem is very common in this year model. So we called the dealer and told him and he bought it and gave it to us so I can put it on, because as April says “that’s how I roll.”
The house is clean!!! I enjoy cleaning the house, I know most people dread it, but I actually enjoy it! Loaded the dishwasher, did laundry, cleaned kitchen, swept, cleaned bathroom, vacuumed, even did baseboards today!! Lit a candle and called it good!!
So tomorrow weather permitting, I will do the fan clutch then have a date night with April! I have something special planned!!
As always check out my wife’s blog !!!
Well I guess it’s a good thing I didn’t write a blog about our car. The people we were going to be getting it from showed their true colors, I won’t be going into detail. Basically they said sure you can pay off this car, then it was switched to get a loan, then get a loan this week, then we’re taking it back today. And mind you, it wasn’t like we had the car for a while, we had it all of 16 days. So no more pretty blue car. We’re stuck with an 02 Mazda protege, and I know be happy with what you have. But we were happy to have the blue car, we fit in it comfortably, and it got nice mileage, and it was pretty, and last but not least, it reminded my wife of her S-10, oh how she adored that S-10.
We had a doctors appointment yesterday, and I think it went well. The blonde doctor was very nice and actually listened and asked my wife what she wanted to happen rather than tell her this is what we’re going to do. So we currently have a game plan, of doing blood work and all kinds of other stuff. But at least blonde doctor paid attention to what was being said and gave us her opinions too. Plenty of worrying on my part, but after talking with April she made me feel better.
So we’re jumping back to the car subject, me and my wife both have a severe attachment to our favorite vehicles, hers being the S-10 and mine being my first car a 86 Grand Marquis. My GM wasn’t much to look at, but it was my first ticket to freedom. I could fix that car on the side of the road with what I had in the trunk. She was a boat, no shocks (me and my dad took them out and put heavy duty springs in) so it had a silky smooth ride, no AC, no heat, no working most things except for an engine and a stereo, but what else does a 16 year old boy need? My wife’s S-10 was in ok shape when we met, minus the driver door not being able to close properly. That is the truck I learned how to drive a stick shift in, that’s the truck where we had our first kiss, that’s the truck that she loved! I did a lot of stuff to that truck, but in the end it wasn’t enough. After the AC died, we still put lots of miles on it. And even after doing the head gasket and putting more miles on it, she finally died. I know how much my wife loved that truck, and when we got the blue thing she said it reminded her of her truck. I was thrilled to hear that, the blue thing had all the bells and whistles I wanted and it reminded April of her truck, what more could we ask for?
So car shopping next week hopefully.
Merry Christmas everyone, I know it’s a little late, and I’ll give you a hug if you read that in professor Farnsworth voice!! Christmas has come and gone again. I will miss my favorite holiday and think about getting more decorations on sale. I think April was pleased with her goodies, I know I was!!! Thank you again sweetie!!! We had an awesomely lazy day, cooked and set up a mini buffet on the coffee table and had dinner and watched some movies. I of course made my phone calls and April made hers. I’m glad her dad called her! Since Christmas she has read 6 books and started some too. That’s 6 books in a week, she did get the kindle fire early. I’m glad she likes it!!
So I entered my first giveaway last week, although I did not win I am very pleased to say that April did!!! Yay for free brownies. And Yay for Sarah for doing the giveaway!!! Thank you again!!
That pesky kitchen sink has finally met its match, I hope. After being clogged for a while I decided that I wasn’t going to lose this war. And April’s encouragement, well her yearning need for a kitchen sink, pushed me to it. It took all 25+ feet of the snake to get it. But I ran lots and lots of hot water through and poured a about 3/4 of a gallon of boiling water down the drain. I think it’s fixed!! Yay!!! I really like doing the handyman type things that most people hate or call someone to do. I know April appreciates it and I know our wallets do too.
I think I’m not going to post about farts anymore.
The house is clean; dishes done, clothes folded, vacuumed, straightened stuff up, just the usual chores. I think we’re about to go grocery shopping!! We’re having pizza night twice this week, AWESOME!!!!!
I hope everyone that reads this, all two of you, had a very merry Christmas!!
Thanks to my wonderful wife for nominating me!
I guess I broke the picture, sorry. I’ll describe it. Close your eyes and imagine a box with a bee buzzing around in it. Then the words “tell me about yourself award” appear and underneath a banner is placed saying “your blog is great”
Here are the rules:
1. Thank the person who awarded you.
2. List 7 things people may not know about you.
3. Pass it on to 15 (!) other bloggers and don’t forget to notify them.
1. I have competed in a jump rope competition, I didn’t win.
2. If I didn’t have auto correct, none of you would understand what I was saying. Because I suck at spelling.
3. I won first prize in a 4H tie-dye competition, my shirt was shown at the Louisiana state fair!!
4. I don’t give my animals cute names, like fluffy or tiger, because I think they need real names to have a personality.
5. The first video game I ever beat was The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. That’s what started my love for LoZ games!
6. I get my toe nails painted every couple of weeks, because my wife likes to do it, and I don’t mind.
7. I am to this day, still scared of the dark!
I don’t know 15 other bloggers, so umm, I’ll pass on that rule!!
So I am pretty excited, for my first chance to participate in a giveaway. My wife has entered in some before, and won some too. That’s how we found out about the glorious TrueLemon products and how she got her DivaCup!
But this is my first chance to enter one. On of my wife’s friends, Sarah , and mine now too, is the one hosting the giveaway! You should go check it out here!!!!! But please don’t enter, save the winning for me and my wife!!!!
But if you must look at the scrumptious goodies we’re going to be enjoying, head on over to Sugardaddy’s website!!
And as always, make sure you check out April’s blog and Off the Deep End. But we can’t forget about Sarah, check out her blog !!
So Friday I’m heading to work and the oil light comes on, there has been a bit of an oil leak so I have to top it off every now and then. So I stopped and put oil in the car, the light went out and I thought it was fixed. We backed out and drove maybe ten feet and it was back on. I tried to make it to work, but on the way to work the car was making a horrific noise and was acting like the engine was about to seize up. I pulled over and called my boss and let him know I wasn’t going to be able to make it. Thankfully I have a very understanding boss!! So we made it home and tried to figure out what to do next. I called lots and lots of part houses and the dealership to find the oil pump. But alas it’s a dealer only part that has to be special ordered and paid for up front. So my darling wife texted a friend and she let us use her car for the rest of the weekend.
Then came more challenges, finding my wifey a ride to and from jury duty. But luckily she has some awesome friends that were able to help us out, and she was excused as well!!!
More things also, but here is neither the time nor place to speak of it in my opinion.
A lot has been on my mind today, maybe that’s why I have such a bad headache. I am very thankful for the friends that we have and the people who have been willing to offer me any advice or guidance. Mostly I am thankful that no matter what or how I feel I know I can always turn to my better half and get a hug and kiss and a I love you, and for me that makes everything ok. It’s like everything I’m dealing with gets pushed back and I can look at all my options from afar and understand them better. I love you sweetie, thank you for being my Xanax!!
Not the blog to talk about this in.
So more car trouble. We have had a slow leak on the back passenger tire for a while now, and the other day I took it to the tire shop to see if he could find a nail or whatever it was making it lose air. And boy did he find it!
So we have to buy a new rim, and no one local has one.
Our kitchen sink is clogged, I’ve tried plunging and a wire coat hanger. I asked to borrow the snake from work but the guy said he has it at his house. So I will hopefully get it Friday. I’m glad that the water goes down in it at least and isn’t sitting there being a very large water bowl for the cats.
Nothing new in that category, sorry folks.
Tonight I saw snow, not a lot but some good size flakes. I’ve always loved the snow, I hope we get a lot like we did last winter. It was nice playing in it.
My head hurts and I want to spend time with my family, goodnight everyone!
